Jupiter is a natural benefic planet., masculine in nature.  
Jupiter rules the ninth and the twelfth ZODIAC signs Sagittarius and pisces.
JUPITER is exalted in cancer.
Jupiter is associated with beliefs, hope, opportunity, knowledge, wisdom, teaching, guidance, expansion, excessiveness, optimism, law, philosophy, fortunes, wealth, long distance traveling, luck, and spirituality.

Jupiter influencing the first house, influence the personality of the person.

Jupiter in the fifth house can show a person who loves to gain knowledge.
Jupiter is associated with knowledge and religion, and the fifth house is associated with ancient texts, This can show a person having the knowledge of ancient religious texts.

Jupiter from the fifth house, aspecting the ninth house, show a person forming his beliefs from his heart. I.e a belief system based on what he thinks is true, and justified.
